The Delaware County Fair is finally over; the "Water & Land" exhibit and Water Man were a huge success. Water Man proved to be a real Kid Magnet, mostly for those under the age of 10 or the mindset of one. We managed to capture a couple celebrities like Watershed Agricultural Council Executive Director Craig Cashman (at left), who stopped to pay homage to the All Mighty Giver of Life, Water. Water Man's message -- "Water & Land: Finite Natural Resources" -- did not pass without notice. Many people couldn't believe they use 125 gallons of water daily (on average). If you add up all the water you use in a day -- showering, brushing your teeth, dishwasher, washing clothes, watering the garden, bathing the dog -- it adds up quick. The aerial images by Josh Dick inspired others to help in our work to protect farm and forest land through active conservation practices.

In the attached photos, you'll find Water Man keeping company with a few high-powered Water Men in their own right, like DEP Commissioner Cas Holloway (pictured at right). A couple special guests posing with Water Man are posted in there as well. Lastly, thanks to Council staff who "manned" the booth and connected with our watershed constituents. And to those of you who stopped by to check out the aerial landscape exhibit, eat homemade pie, or walk out with one of the many watershed photo postcards, thanks for stopping in.
